Our clinic was addressed by a female patient who complained of non-aesthetic appearance of lower frontal teeth and asked to reverse tooth 4.2 along the axis.
We suggested several treatment variants:
- orthodontic method – correction of tooth abnormal position along the axis
- therapeutic method – correction by direct restorations (tooth stopping)
- orthopaedic method – correction by veneers (thin ceramic onlays on teeth).
Tooth bridge-like prostheses. We chose the third variant and in 3 hours we fixed the ready-made product (veneers) on the teeth.
STAGE 1
Hygiene
Professional tooth cleaning, removal of hard and soft plaque on the teeth. With local anaesthesia, the teeth were prepared for veneer placement.
STAGE 2
Teeth scanning
With the intraoral scanner, we received digital impressions.
STAGE 3
Veneer modelling
A special program modelled future restorations (veneers).
STAGE 4
Veneer milling
Digital models of veneers were transmitted to the milling cutter which manufactured the veneers from ceramic blanks just in several hours.
